Emma Lydssan (b. 1998 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany) is a photographer & visual artist, currently working and studying in Dortmund, Germany. Creativity has been a big part of her childhood, eventually finding photography as her passion.

In 2021, she concluded her BA in Photography at the HSBI in Bielefeld, to be followed by the MA program “Photographic Studies” at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund.

In 2019, she completed a trimester studying at the London College of Communication where she started working on rather personal and emotional topics discussing her own mental health. Until today, she primarily works around this subject and finds it important to openly visualise and speak about it. She believes in the power of photographs as a tool to create connections between emotions and the everyday life.
